White Hygiene, operating as Solo Soft for Hygienic Paper, has signed an agreement with Shandong Hicredit Heavy Machinery Co. for the supply of two new tissue production lines, expanding its integrated manufacturing footprint in Egypt.
The new lines will add a combined annual capacity of 56,000 tonnes to the group’s operations. Once fully operational, White Hygiene / Solo Soft is expected to account for approximately 31% of Egypt’s total tissue production capacity, with projected annual sales of around US$168 million.
The deal follows the group’s first integrated tissue machine, PM1, a Hicredit supply that was commissioned at its 6th of October City mill in early 2026. PM1, with a capacity of 24,000 tpy, marked White Hygiene’s transition from a branded converter to a fully integrated tissue producer.
The latest order was signed at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, during a meeting between Mr. Hassan Akef, President of White Tissue, and Mr. Jia, President of Hicredit Heavy Machinery.
